I had the idea to make miniature shop fronts to illustrate the magazine throughout. At first, I was worried that they didn't fit into the theme of puppets and photography but after a session with my tutor, I was assured that the theme is completely up to me and if I want to make paper crafted shop fronts, then I should go ahead and make them. These little illustrations are dotted around the magazines, on the shop article pages.

I primarily created the shop fronts Adobe Illustrator as a vector illustration. I worked layer by layer which I then measured out onto card and cut into shape. It was a super long process but worth it for the end result. The way I gave the layers dimension, was to add double sided decopage stickers on the underside of the card to lift them up.
